What is The Grove?
Ya’ll…I wish I knew.
On a practical level, The Grove is a 17.5-acre piece of land that has been in my family’s history for over a century and was reclaimed by us in 2021. It’s pecan trees. It’s bees. It’s home to a ridiculously huge herd of deer, some turkeys, our horses, and a peacock. It’s Natural Florida at its finest.
But on a deeper level, The Grove represents so much more. It’s a pollinator paradise that I hope to carpet with wildflowers. It’s land getting restored, seeds being planted and dreams sprouting back to life. It’s the launching pad hurdling me into a season with which I haven’t quite come to terms. It’s an exciting season for sure, but a scary one if I’m being honest. It’s a real-life miracle that I still struggle to believe is ours to share.
So I guess the Grove is a lot of things…Redemption, restoration, Obedience? A living breathing example of me reaching for the hem of His garment? I don’t know, to be honest, but I hope you’ll join me on the journey.
Welcome to The Grove.
