While our farm is family-owned, most days it’s a one-woman show around here—and I could definitely use a little help. If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty and putting in some honest work (even when it’s a little repetitive or not-so-glamorous), you’ll fit right in.
This isn’t a “cute farm day” kind of thing—it’s real, behind-the-scenes work that keeps the place running. But if you enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and contributing to something meaningful, it can be a pretty rewarding way to spend your time.
What You Might Be Doing
Farm tasks vary depending on the season and what needs attention, but help is often needed with things like:
- Picking up fallen limbs and general storm cleanup
- Pulling moss from trees
- Digging, repairing, and checking irrigation lines
- Mowing and general grounds maintenance
- Farm cleanup and organization projects
- Tree inspection, tagging, and inventory tracking
Good to Know
- This is physical, outdoor work—come prepared for heat, bugs, and getting a little dusty.
- Tasks may be repetitive, but they’re important to keeping the farm healthy and productive.
- No experience needed—just a willingness to work and follow directions.

Support the Grove
There are many ways to help us restore and preserve The Grove at Diamond Ranch. Whether you donate gently used farm equipment, sponsor the planting of a new tree, help us rebuild our native forestry borders, or help fund pollinator-friendly cover crop seed, your generosity directly supports the conservation efforts taking place on our farm.
As a thank-you, supporters who sponsor a tree or help fund our cover crop program are welcome to enjoy a small harvest from the farm. Following the first successful harvest after your support, you’ll receive one pound of farm-grown pecans and one 8-ounce jar of our raw honey (when available). Tree sponsors are also welcome to glean fruit or nuts from the tree they helped plant once it reaches production.

Please note that The Grove at Diamond Ranch is a privately owned LLC, not a nonprofit organization. All financial support and in-kind donations are voluntary contributions made directly to our farm and are not tax-deductible.
Because agriculture depends on nature, rewards cannot be guaranteed on a specific timeline. Drought, storms, disease pressure, and other environmental factors can significantly impact both our pecan and honey harvests. In our region, pecan production is heavily affected by scab, and prolonged drought or adverse weather may limit or eliminate annual honey harvests. We are committed to sharing the fruits of the farm whenever successful harvests allow and greatly appreciate your support and understanding as we work to restore this historic grove for future generations.
