Tea in the Trees is a private picnic experience set beneath the shade of our giant Florida oaks, where you can enjoy fresh air, a little quiet, and a whole lot of natural beauty. The space is beautiful year-round, but it’s especially hard to beat in April and May when the wildflowers are in bloom, and everything feels alive and colorful. Gentle breezes, singing birds, and peaceful surroundings create the kind of setting that invites you to relax, reconnect, and stay awhile.

Whether you’re planning a get-together with friends, a relaxed family outing, or a simple “mom and me” afternoon, this is an easy way to spend quality time outdoors without the hassle. We take care of creating a comfortable, thoughtfully styled setting—you just show up, settle in, and enjoy the moment.

What kind of shoes should I wear?2026-04-24T15:46:32+00:00

Our grove is definitely REAL FLORIDA land… you can wear whatever you’re most comfortable in (or kick your shoes off and enjoy some freedom), but know that you may run across ants, sandspurs, stinging nettles, thorns or any other natural poking, stinging plant or animal. We DO take care to keep the ground as clear as possible, but during certain times of year (especially spring during coreopsis season), we do not mow, so the grass may be high and contain an occasional thistle.

Sure! Just let us know ahead of time so we can pen up our “security department.”

Is your property wheelchair accessible?2026-04-24T15:45:28+00:00

YES. All of our photo areas can be reached via wheelchair and/or we can assist you with our ATV. The restroom and changing space, however, are accessed via stairway (4 steps with handrail).

Is there always green resurrection fern on the trees?2026-04-24T15:40:40+00:00

No. That amazing fern withers and thrives based on the amount of moisture in the air – BUT – we can spray it and do our best to liven it up for you if you’ve booked during a dry season – If you’re hoping for lots of green, be sure to request that when you book your session.

To make sure everyone gets a chance to enjoy the space, picnic bookings are set in 2-hour windows. If you’d like more time, you can easily add extra hours during checkout. And if there’s no booking scheduled after yours, you’re welcome to stay on the farm and continue enjoying the space as long as you’d like.

Yes—this is Florida, after all. We do our best to maintain picnic areas in a way that minimizes unwanted pests, but we do not use pesticides or herbicides on the farm. That means there are critters. We provide natural repellent options for you to use if you’d like.

Yes. Our farm office is a short walk from each picnic area, and guests are welcome to use the restroom as needed.

Can I pet the horses?2026-04-24T15:54:48+00:00

You’re welcome to call the horses over to the fence and give them some love—but please do not enter the pasture. Also, fair warning: they can be a bit snobby (a carrot might help your chances). Be mindful of the beehives on the east side of the pasture and enter that area at your own risk.
If you’d like to schedule one-on-one “cuddle time” with the horses (no riding), just let us know and we’ll arrange it.

We do not provide alcoholic beverages and strictly prohibit underage drinking. If you are of legal age and would like to bring your own special sips, you’re welcome to do so. For custom experiences, we’re happy to coordinate requested beverages with proper proof of ID.

Is your farm handicap accessible?2026-04-24T15:57:40+00:00

Our picnic areas are accessible by vehicle, followed by just a few steps to the setup space. Unless otherwise requested in advance, most picnics are styled low to the ground in a traditional picnic setting. If you need higher seating or serving surfaces, we’re happy to accommodate—just let us know ahead of time.
Please note: our farm office (restroom) is only accessible via three steps at this time.

What is your Tea Party cancellation policy?2026-04-24T16:00:06+00:00

Because we may be ordering and coordinating fresh food on your behalf, cancellations or changes must be made at least 3 days in advance. All cancellations will forfeit the $50 reservation fee.

We keep a close eye on the weather and will work with you to reschedule if needed. Final rain policy details will be provided at booking.
